TOM CAMPBELL grew up in a small farming town of Pacific Junction, Iowa. Tom was from a musical family with mom on guitar, dad on fiddle, two brothers on bass and guitar. After high school graduation Tom went to work as a DJ at country radio station KOZN, Omaha, Nebraska. One day when Tom was interviewing Johnny Western (wrote/sung ‘Have Gun Will Travel’ TV show theme song) he asked Tom if he’d like to travel with a band on the road. Tom eventually ended up in Nashville where he met Grand Ole Opry Star Billy Walker and played guitar/fiddle for Billy for several years. Then Tom went to work for LeRoy Van Dyke (‘Auctioneer’ fame) where they performed all over the country and in Las Vegas and the TV show ‘Wonderful World of Country Music’ and the Merv Griffin Show. Tom played guitar for Jeannie C. Riley on a NBC Television Special. He performed and played guitar and traveled with Elvis’s backup singing group, JD Sumner and The Stamps Quartet. Tom then decided to form a band in Nashville and performed at the Nashville Palace for many years. He was also a host of his own radio show on WSM and was a special guest on the Grand Ole Opry playing music Tom plays fiddle very Sunday morning and occasionally guest sings with JoAnn Cash (sister of Johnny Cash) at the Nashville Cowboy Church at the Troubadour Theatre which is broadcast on XM Satellite and Worldwide Country Radio and WSM Radio.
